These past few months we’ve seen so many new faces and new pets and WE LOVE IT! Between referrals and drive-bys, we’re still growing our loving family and we thank all of you for telling your friends and family to head our way when they’re searching for a great vet clinic.
I’ve made this newsletter all about what to ask Dr. Greg at your pet’s next checkup… whether your pet is young or old, and no matter if you’re a new client or existing, the following questions should spark even MORE questions so you can be super-informed about your furry friend.
Remember, even if it isn’t time for a checkup, you can ALWAYS call us with specific questions or concerns… we’re here for YOU GUYS!
If you have a new kitten, consider the following opening questions:
- If my kitten will be an indoor cat, do I need to spay/neuter? If so, then at what age?
- How can I get my kitten comfortable with the car? With his carrier?
- What should I know about setting up a proper litter box?
- Is there an optimal vaccination schedule?
If you have a SENIOR cat, these are some great questions to inquire about:
- Should I change or supplement my cat’s diet?
- What physical and behavioral changes should I be looking for?
- Do I need to modify his litter box?
- Does my cat need any special blood tests or urinalysis?
For our new puppy owners, here are some good questions:
- When should I spay or neuter my puppy?
- What and how often should I feed him? How much?
- Are there behaviors that I should encourage… or discourage?
- Is there anything special I should know about my puppy’s breed?
If you have a SENIOR dog, these questions are for you:
- Are there things I can do to keep my dog in better shape?
- Should I supplement or change my pet’s diet?
- What physical and behavioral changes should I look for?
- Does my senior need any special blood tests or urinalysis?
If you have a middle-aged cat or dog, then of course keep their shots on a yearly schedule, and consider dental cleanings in the near-future. Most cats and dogs could use a dental by the age of 3.
If you have questions about their diet or weight, feel free to call us! We always have time to chat with you about proper diet and feeding recommendations… we ALL want your pet to be as healthy as possible!
Thank you for reading and we’ll see you soon!
